Its outright crazy. We have no money to provide oxygen in hospitals, we have no money to buy VVPAT machines to bring transparency in elections but we have Rs.1 Lac-Cr. to buy a bullet train.

People are suffering and then increases the price of petrol, diesel & LPG Cylinders, reduces the interest on FDRs of people to finance this nonsense. IIM - Ahmedabad has done a detailed study and has come to the conclusion that this project would be in losses from day - 1.

Japan’s government and its rail companies lobbied the US for years to sell its bullet train technology and found little success. Finally, there’s an international buyer: India.
